Quartz Digital Ltd ("Quartz", "we" or "us" or "our") is the primary controller of your personal data. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 16253590 and have our registered office at 3rd Floor, Marlborough House, Victoria Road South, Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom, CM1 1LN.
Through our mobile app "Quartz", we offer a secure way for you to connect your payment accounts and other financial accounts (for example, brokers, pension providers, and other investment platforms) and view your consolidated financial data in one place. In this Privacy Policy, “Service” refers to all services and features we provide to you through the App, including the ability to connect your payment accounts and other financial accounts, and features that allow you to view and gain insights into your financial information.
The part of our Service that allows you to connect your payment accounts (“Account Information Services”) is regulated under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (“PSR 2017”). We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) as an Account Information Provider (“AISP”) under reference number 1043690 to provide these account information services.
Quartz Digital Ltd is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to provide Account Information Services under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (FRN: 1043690).
2. Why do I need to read this notice?
We collect your personal data when you use:
- our App, including when you access or use the Service; and/or
- our website and any features of our website at https://myquartz.ai.
We may also collect your personal data from other people or companies. We explain how this can happen in more detail in the What personal data do you collect about me? section below.
This notice explains what personal data we collect, and why and how we collect, process, store and share it. When we say "personal data," we mean information that:
- we know about you ("you"), and
- can be used to personally identify you.

4. What is your legal basis for using my personal data?
We must have a legal basis (a valid legal reason) for processing your personal data. Depending on how you interact with us, our legal basis will be one of the following:

- agree to receive marketing emails from us.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this through the App, or if the consent relates to marketing emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any marketing email.

7. How do I exercise my rights?
We aim to keep your personal data up-to-date, so please advise us of any changes and feel free to exercise any of the above rights by contacting us at support@myquartz.ai.
We will respond to your request without undue delay and, in any event, within one month of receipt. If your request is complex or you make multiple requests, we may extend this period by up to two additional months, but we will inform you of any such extension.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your request you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (website).
8. Do you share my personal data with anyone else?
Quartz group of companies
We share your personal data within the Quartz group of companies to:
- provide you with the best service
- protect you, other customers and our systems from fraud or harmful behaviour
- help you quickly sign up for other Quartz products or services
- improve existing, or develop new, products or services
- send you information about Quartz products and services we think you'll be interested in hearing about.
Other third parties
We may share information about you with certain third parties who help us deliver and support the Website. We only share your personal data with these third parties where it is necessary for them to provide their services to us, and always in accordance with this privacy notice and applicable data protection laws.
Social media and advertising companies
When we use social media for marketing purposes, your personal data (limited to only your name, email address and app events) may be shared with the social media platforms so that they can check if you also hold an account with them. If you do, we may ask the social media provider to:
- help us to understand and measure the effectiveness of our online advertising
- show you our adverts to you for products or services you might be interested in
- avoid sending you ads for services you already use
- send our adverts to people who have a similar profile to you (for example, if one of our services is particularly useful to people with similar interests to the ones on your social media profile, we may ask our advertising partner to send our adverts for that service to those people)
We may share your personal data with our advertising partners in the ways described above, but the personal data is hashed before we send it, and the advertising partner we share it with is only allowed to use that hashed personal data in the ways described above.
Our legal basis for this processing is legitimate interests and specifically, to improve the effectiveness of our advertising and ensure that marketing communications are relevant to our users, only using personal data that is necessary and proportionate for these purposes.
You can contact us at any time by emailing support@myquartz.ai, if you don't want us to share your personal data for advertising purposes. Remember you can also manage your marketing preferences directly with any social media provider that you have an account with.
9. Marketing and email communications
We use an email delivery provider to send important service and support messages, such as account verification links. The email delivery provider collects limited technical information, including whether emails are successfully delivered, whether they are opened, and whether links within the emails are clicked. We use this information to ensure our communications reach you, monitor the reliability of our email service, and troubleshoot any delivery issues.
For marketing emails, we will only send messages if you have explicitly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in the email. After unsubscribing, you will continue to receive only essential service and account-related communications.
10. How do you protect my personal data?
We recognise the importance of protecting and managing your personal data. Any personal data we process will be treated with care and using appropriate technical and organisational measures. This section sets out some of the security measures we have in place.
We use a variety of organisational and technical measures to:
- maintain the confidentiality, availability and integrity of your personal data
- make sure your personal data is not improperly used or disclosed
We have a detailed IT & Security Policy which our employees are required to follow when they handle your personal data. Our employees receive data protection and information security training. Personal data is stored on secure computer systems with access management controls in place to limit physical, system and information access to only authorised employees, and protected with safeguards such as encryption.
While we take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data will be kept secure from unauthorised access, we cannot guarantee it will be secure during transmission by you to our website or other services we may provide. We use HTTPS (HTTP Secure), where the communication protocol is encrypted through Transport Layer Security for secure communication over networks, for our website.
11. How long will you keep my personal data for?
We will keep your personal data:
- for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, in line with our lawful bases for processing (such as consent, performance of the Terms of Use, or legitimate interests)
- in line with relevant laws
We may keep your personal data for a longer time period because of a potential or ongoing court claim, or for another legal reason.
12. How will you keep me updated about how you use my personal data?
If we change the way we use your personal data, we'll update this notice and, if appropriate, let you know by email or through our website.
13. International Transfers
We do not transfer your personal data outside of the UK or EEA unless appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information. In any case where personal data is transferred outside of these regions, appropriate safeguards are applied in line with UK GDPR and EU GDPR requirements.
14. Location of data storing
We process and store the personal data described in this privacy notice in the UK and the European Economic Area ("EEA"). We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy notice, GDPR and UK GDPR at all times.
15. Do you use any data analytics?
Our App uses technologies, such as analytics tools and device identifiers, to help us understand how our App is used and to improve its performance and reliability.
We use these technologies for the following purposes:
- To help us understand usage patterns, identify errors, and improve App functionality;
- To maintain security and detect or prevent fraudulent activity;
- To deliver essential features and ensure the App works correctly on your device.
These tools may collect information such as device type, operating system, usage frequency, and App performance data. They do not access your payment or account information. You can control application requested permissions using the device settings. Tools for diagnosis are part of the core functionality. Analytics can be opted out using in-app settings.

We use cookies to analyse how you use our website. Please read our Cookies Policy for more information about cookies. They also allow us to collect information such as your IP address, browser, email client type and other similar details. We use this information to measure the performance of our email campaigns, and for analytics.
