About the role
We're looking for a Frontend Developer to build the surface where Quartz users meet Charlie — the mobile and web apps that turn complex financial intelligence into something people can actually use.
You'll write TypeScript and React Native day-to-day, collaborate closely with designers on interactions and motion, and make the early UX and engineering decisions that set the bar for how the product feels as it scales. Expect to partner with design on prototypes, and with backend and ML to shape how the product actually behaves.
This role is for someone who excels at first principle thinking, cares about craft as much as code, and is comfortable owning features end-to-end — from wireframe to production. If you're looking to do meaningful work and you're not driven by a nine to five mentality, you might be just who we're looking for.

What you'll be doing
- Collaborating closely with product designers to focus on new feature design and prototyping
- Assisting in the user experience design process, from wireframes and mockups through implementation and release
- Working closely with design and business teams to define and implement elegant solutions to interesting problems
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience working as a frontend developer
- Experience in React
- Understanding of web and mobile SDKs
- Experience collaborating on software projects with design and backend aspects
- To be a quick learner with an ambitious and results-driven personality
- Experience in a start-up or scale-up (at least have started something as a side project!)
- Fluency in English
