Quartz Referral Scheme Terms

1. About the Referral Scheme

1.1 Quartz Digital Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”) runs the Quartz referral scheme (“Referral Scheme”). The Referral Scheme rewards you for inviting friends to join Quartz through our mobile app (“App”).

1.2 These Referral Scheme Terms apply to everyone who takes part in the Referral Scheme, whether as the person who refers a friend (“Referrer”) or as the friend who is referred (“Referee”). By sharing your referral link or code, or by signing up to the App using one, you agree to these Referral Scheme Terms.

1.3 These Referral Scheme Terms apply in addition to the terms of use that govern your use of the App. If there is a conflict between them on a matter relating to the Referral Scheme, these Referral Scheme Terms apply.

2. Who can take part

2.1 You can take part as a Referrer if you have an account in the App.

2.2 You can take part as a Referee if you do not have, and have never had, an account in the App.

2.3 You must take part in a personal capacity, for your own benefit only.

3. How referrals work

3.1 Each Referrer has a personal referral link and code (“Referral Code”), which they can find on the referral page in the App.

3.2 A referral is successful (“Successful Referral”) when the Referee:

1. signs up to the App using the Referral Code;
2. starts a free trial of Quartz (a “Free Trial”); and
3. connects at least one bank account or other financial account to the App.

3.3 Each Referee can count as a Successful Referral only once, and only for the Referrer whose Referral Code they used when signing up.

4. Tiers and Rewards

4.1 Referrers unlock a tier (“Tier”) and its reward (“Reward”) when they reach the number of Successful Referrals shown below. “Quartz Premium” means the paid-for version of Quartz that applies after the Free Trial ends.

4.2 We apply each Reward automatically when you unlock the Tier, and we will tell you in the App, by push notification and by email.

4.3 If you unlock a new Tier before you have claimed, or before you have started using, the Reward from your previous Tier, the new Reward replaces it. If you unlock a new Tier while an existing Reward is already running, the new Reward starts when the current one ends. For example, if you unlock Quartz Elite two weeks into your Quartz Insider month, you keep the remaining two weeks and your 6 months of Quartz Premium begin when that month ends. A Reward is applied at the start of your next billing period, so if you are on a paid plan it begins when your current paid period ends.

4.4 There are no further Tiers or Rewards after Quartz Ambassador.

4.5 Rewards are personal to you. You cannot transfer them to anyone else or exchange them for cash or any other benefit.

5. How Rewards work with your subscription

5.1 During the period covered by a Reward (“Reward Period”), you can use Quartz Premium and we will not charge you for it.

5.2 Your Reward Period starts on the date you unlock the Tier. If you have already paid for your current billing period, your Reward Period starts when that billing period ends.

5.3 If your subscription renews automatically, we will put your next payment on hold until the end of your Reward Period. Your subscription will then renew and you will be charged the usual subscription fee, unless you cancel before your Reward Period ends.

5.4 If you cancel your subscription, you can still use Quartz Premium until the end of your Reward Period.

5.5 A Reward Period is not a promotional period under our terms of use, and the notice period that applies to promotional periods under those terms does not apply to it.

5.6 We decide the timing, location and number of places for our private events, and we may change or cancel them. Invitations are personal to you. We do not cover travel or any other costs of attending.

6. Fair use

6.1 You must not:

1. refer yourself, or create or use another account, device or email address to earn a Reward;
2. say anything false or misleading about Quartz or the Referral Scheme;
3. offer anyone money or any other incentive to use your Referral Code; or
4. share your Referral Code through paid advertising or unsolicited bulk messages.

6.2 If we reasonably believe that you have broken these Referral Scheme Terms or acted fraudulently, we may refuse to count a referral, remove or withhold any Reward obtained in that way, or stop you taking part in the Referral Scheme. We will tell you if we do this, unless the law prevents us.

7. Changes to the Referral Scheme

7.1 We may change or end the Referral Scheme. We will give you notice in the App or by email before we end it or make any change that affects you.

7.2 If we change or end the Referral Scheme, you keep any Reward you have already unlocked for its full Reward Period. Successful Referrals that have not yet unlocked a Tier will not carry over to any new or changed scheme.

8. Your personal data and contacting us

8.1 We use your name, contact details, Referral Code, number of Successful Referrals, Tier and Reward to run the Referral Scheme, apply Rewards and prevent fraud. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

8.2 We do not use information from your connected accounts to run the Referral Scheme, other than to confirm that you have connected an account.

8.3 If you sign up as a Referee, your Referrer will see their number of Successful Referrals increase. We will never share any of your financial information with your Referrer.
